But it would give him and them something to talk about.

After all, it would be much better if he resigned rather than be impeached.

Republicans could save themselves and our country a huge headache if they could get Mr Trump to resign. They could prevent a lot of embarrassing information from going public in an official impeachment hearing.

That would be the easiest and least painful way out of this mess of a presidency.

IMO, I don't think our case is weak enough to need any resignation deal.
I also don't want the Repugs to get off the hook, for supporting him in the first place.
The key is what evidence can be gotten when impeachment goes official, what witnesses will be compelled to testify.

Now that China has dropped a nuke on Trumpie's preschool trade war, there are going to be some farmers hitting the bottle and maybe even worse this week.

It has now gone beyond tariffs. This is a blow to the empire and it looks to be irreversible. Rather than winning, its an on your elbows and knees situation as far as agricultural exports go.

Instead of the needed finesse, strategy, information and wisdom needed to deal with China we have a bull in a clown suit running through a china shop with exploding cigars.

China won't be tired of winning, that's for sure. Vlad must be proud.

Yeah, he should resign now before he provokes anymore responses from China, that fool.
