Terrified Republicans Tried To Block Lawyers From Questioning Impeachment Witnesses

Terrified Republicans Tried To Block Lawyers From Questioning Impeachment Witnesses

House Republicans are so scared of the criminal liability surrounding Trump that they tried to block lawyers from questioning impeachment witnesses.

House Judiciary Committee member, Rep. Val Demings (D-FL) tweeted:

Rep. Val Demings
@RepValDemings
Update: @HouseJudiciary
has beaten the attempted GOP obstruction, passed the new rules, and we are moving forward in our #impeachment investigation.

Next week: former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, a witness and participant in President Trump’s obstruction of justice.

Rep. Val Demings
@RepValDemings
Now the GOP is trying to pass an amendment removing our ability to have trained attorneys ask questions of the witnesses to President Trump’s crimes and corruption.

Begs the question: what are they afraid of?

Republicans are afraid of what the lawyers will ask, and the criminal liability surrounding many of the witnesses to potential Trump crimes.

The impeachment investigation is about more than impeaching a president. There is a web of corruption and crime surrounding Donald Trump and beginning next week, the House Judiciary Committee will begin the long process of following strands of evidence and sorting through a criminal history that predates that presidency and goes back years in the history of Donald Trump.

Republicans don’t want lawyers involved because it is more difficult for a witness to stonewall a lawyer than a member of Congress.

The dam is breaking, and the secrets hidden behind Trump’s obstruction are set to come pouring out.

It is so important that we not restrict ourselves to the Mueller Report. We need to call any forensic accountants that have looked into Trump's finances. Allen Weisenberger step forward. Money laundering! Abuse of power! Deals with countries in the Middle East. There's a boatload of stuff the MSM is not talking about any more.

I hope enough members in the Democratic caucus have had a fire lit under their sit-upons that we see more and more consistent movement against this outlaw regime. There have been little skirmishes and disagreements, but Democrats need to get relentless.

brings out the truth about the inner workings of Political Debate and how one Party is trying to stymie the oppositions efforts to find the real truth.

As someone mentioned,the Dam is breaking and all hell is about to flood our Nation as to who the Real Rethug Party is and how corrupt they are in their attempt to try and complete their efforts of one Party Rule.

They addict (brainwash) people as with a drug and then keep them addicted to the same old shit for their entire life.

Some say cult addiction is more damaging than drug addiction because it can affect far more people around the addict, especially when we consider the effects of social media these days.

They are outnumbered anyways and the Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee have every right to have them present.

The Republicans on the House Committees are afraid that their undying loyalty and protection of Trump will be their undoing come election time. Good. For they are on the wrong side of History on this point no matter how they protest Regular Order.

POTUS. I don’t know if we would have standing, but if it could open up discovery and allow us to get access to all of Mueller's documents and the House side docs, then it would be worth it. We don’t need money, we need action and evidence of their crimes.
