(1,980 posts)Its more about the fact that what McCabe was alleged to have done almost always results in a termination of their employment rather than criminal charges. He leaked something he wasn't supposed to have leaked which simply involved the existence of an investigation. Then, he didn't tell the 100% truth to the IG. Career, high level employees of DOJ and similar agencies almost never get prosecuted "by the letter of the law" for these types of things. Further, his "violations" may have simply been of DOJ policy rather than Federal statute.

(3,473 posts)for them to not be able to get an indictment. IIRC, he said 5 out of tens of thousands were turned down last year.

To not get an indictment out of a Grand Jury? What an embarrassment.

(26,727 posts)This one can leave the reader with the impression that we know that charges were rejected. That they voted a "no true bill"
In reality, we just know that no indictment was reported. But that's true of when the same grand jury met months ago. We don't know whether or not indictments were presented to the GJ for approval.
The letter was merely asking DOJ whether it had happened. We can't assume from this that it did happen.

(70,483 posts)... false or the Mueller report exonerated Trump false memes produced by Fox/Trump/the right in order to distract from the truth.
McCabe was doing his job. End of story.
Btw "they" don't really want a trial where McCabe speaks in court and his lawyers can subpoena team Trump.

(5,801 posts)barr still got some mileage out of this in terms of intimidating the criminal gang's perceived enemies and investigators.

(2,580 posts)No way his stooge Barr lets an indictment proceed.

(26,727 posts)It wouldnt be a civil trial and the presumed charges have little to nothing to do with Trump.

(6,582 posts)Impeachment vote news came out. A couple hours later the $1 trillion deficit news came out. Then it seemed like within an hour or two, "McCabe indicted" (maybe indicted?) news came out.
