Should there be a bi-cameral, bi-partisan meeting between the Democratic and Republican leaders?

The meeting could be called by either Party in the name of "National Security".

Each Party should address their concerns to the Committee of the Whole?

This is a matter of the highest importance.

Is there no one to facilitate such a request?

You are assuming that there are enough sensible and thoughtful individuals on the other side of the aisle who would make this a worthwhile endeavor. Think about the looney tunes (lookin' at you Gym Jordan) people who believe the Fox BS and bring it to work with them.

If it were possible, it might make a difference. Moscow Mitch is thriving on this chaos, because it hides what he is really doing.

So my answer to your question is no. Sadly.

For all the bothsiderism rampant in the press these days, it's the Repubs who have refused to compromise.

Because we know it is going to fail?

Because we should never have to look back and say we didn't even try?
