The AOC ad was not run by ABC; it was run by a local ABC affiliate that's owned by Sinclair.

And as for the ad itself, as ugly as it is, ask yourself if you want a TV station making decisions as to what is and is not appropriate political advertising.

I am a First Amendment absolutist. A KKK message can be challenged. When you suppress someone else's message, you have no claim when someone suppresses yours.

...and a station showed it, the roof would fall in. We have a de facto ban on, say, Nazi propaganda in the mass media, as opposed to a formal ban that Germany has. This might actually be better in a way. God help us if Nazi-KKK propaganda ever becomes "mainstream" enough for it to be shown openly in the mainstream media, however constitutional it might technically be...
