Here's how Kavanaugh denied the Ramirez allegations under oathSept. 16, 2019, 6:59 AM MDT

WASHINGTON A year ago, the New Yorker reported on Deborah Ramirezs claim that Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh when they were students at Yale exposed himself to her at a drunken party and thrust his penis in her face.
Over the weekend, two New York Times reporters corroborated Ramirezs claim.
Sen. John Kennedy, R-La.: "Are Ms. Ramirezs allegations about you true?"
Kavanaugh: "Those are not. She no no none of the witnesses in the room support that. The if that that had happened, that would have been the talk of campus in our freshman dorm.
At least seven people, including Ms. Ramirezs mother, heard about the Yale incident long before Mr. Kavanaugh was a federal judge. Two of those people were classmates who learned of it just days after the party occurred, suggesting that it was discussed among students at the time, the reporters write.
This is significant due to the denials that Kavanaugh made under oath about the allegation before his confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court, as well as to the GOP insistence that there was no corroboration.
According to today's CNN report:
The book revisits Ramirez's claim and contains a former male classmate's new allegation which the authors say was corroborated by two sources. The authors reported the former classmate came forward to the FBI and senators concerning an incident he witnessed and said the FBI did not investigate the incident.

That allegation from Deborah Ramirez accused Kavanaugh of exposing himself to her at a party when he was a freshman at Yale, according to an account published in The New Yorker.
Did Teflon Don bribe or intimidate another witness?

(82,849 posts)Justice Boof knew he just had to play out the last 10 seconds on the clock, and his confirmation was in the bag. The treatment of Christine Blasey Ford was meant to scare off anyone else who had the temerity to bring up Boof's past, and it worked very well. Boof won't be impeached, and he'll sit on the Court until they have to pry his desiccated corpse out of his chair with a spatula.

(15,235 posts)John Joseph Gotti Jr (aka Dapper Don and later Teflon Don) was a Mafia Don (top crime boss) of the Gambino crime family, in New York City.
At his peak, Gotti was one of the most powerful and dangerous crime bosses in the United States. During his era he became widely known for his outspoken personality and flamboyant style, which gained him favor with some of the general public. While his peers avoided attracting attention, especially from the media, Gotti became known as "The Dapper Don", for his expensive clothes and personality in front of news cameras. He was later given the nickname "The Teflon Don" because - like Teflon - nothing stuck to Gotti, during three high-profile trials in the 1980s, which resulted in his acquittal, though it was later revealed that the trials had been tainted by jury tampering, juror misconduct, witness intimidation and obstruction of justice. Law enforcement authorities continued gathering evidence against Gotti that helped lead to his eventual arrest and conviction.
What stuck to Teflon Don Trump, in past and present criminal investigations? Teflon Don Trump was even able to maneuver one trial in a way that allowed his sister to be the judge!
