One of the worst problems for many of us, is the reality that those of us who pay
rent..... are facing never ending problems of increasingly high rents which are pushing us to find A house to buy... We are looking in Palm Springs now, but let me tell you.. It's a sellers market: Big Fing Time.. The reasonable priced home are sucked up almost immediately..
Many of you guys are fortunate for several reasons.. Long Time House Owners..etc.

In my mid sized mid western city to rent the home I own would be almost double what my mortgage is.

(8,515 posts)Ton of new upscale apts going up all over L.A. Most of them are practically empty for at least a year ......They are nice, but man it's a disaster.. Use to be the fact that the new apts would be occupied by several hundreds of bright talented young ones bent on stardom or tech jobs in the industry.. Ain't happening.. Almost spooky to see the great buildings sitting empty.. Garages Empty.. Few night lights, or porch lights on.. You can tell that management comes in a night and turns on lights.. but draws the curtains...
