Michelle Malkin Smears Cokie Roberts: 'One of the First Guilty Culprits of Fake News'

Hours after the world learned that journalist Cokie Roberts had passed away following complications from breast cancer, right-wing provocateur Michelle Malkin took a swipe at the reporter’s legacy by calling her “one of the first guilty culprits of fake news.”

Taking part in a panel at the Paley Center on Tuesday, Malkin joined an array of liberal and conservative commentators and media figures to discuss whether the media is biased.

At one point in the discussion, Malkin—who has recently been making the media rounds hawking her latest anti-immigrant book—took aim at Roberts.

“Cokie Roberts, of course, passed away today and God bless her for an incredible career that she had but I distinctly remember that she was one of the first guilty culprits of fake news,” she declared.

in any panel or event in which she's participating?

The stories made a big deal of how shocked and offended journalists were by her comment. Really? What did they expect? Perhaps they were fine with her hatefulness until she directed it at one of them.

Until the media stops playing along with this kind of thing and stops giving cover to this kind of person, it will continue.

Lest you think conservatives are happy with Donald Trump‘s re-entrance into the presidential race, conservative pundit/blogger Michelle Malkin was extremely critical of Trump’s antics on Twitter earlier today. Malkin was set off after Trump tweeted out to his followers, “How does [Malkin] get a conservative platform? She is a dummy–just look at her past.”

Twitchy, a social media aggregation site started by Malkin, was not exactly kind to Trump in the wake of his big announcement yesterday, saying that it was a big “dud,” and dismissing Trump’s announcement as just at attempt to “desperately crav[e] attention.” In the midst of commentary that Trump’s announcement was a big waste of time, Malkin sarcastically tweeted the hashtag #ShockedFace.

Trump fired back earlier today by calling Malkin a “dummy” who does not deserve a conservative platform.
