Election 2019: Rebecca Mirra for Bensalem Township (PA) School Board Director

Rebecca Mirra is an attorney and mother of two boys. She and her husband, Jim, are proud to have their oldest son attend Bensalem public school and their second, a preschooler at Christian Life Academy, is enrolling this fall. Rebecca hopes to bring her unique perspective, as a parent and estate planning attorney, to the school board. Rebecca’s legal practice is dedicated to giving clients peace of mind with a plan to protect the assets they’ve worked a lifetime to earn. She also specializes in estate administration and probate, helping ease those burdens for families who lost someone. Additionally, her elder law experience gives her personal insight to the experience of senior citizens in our community. Rebecca will speak for Bensalem families, senior citizens, employees, teachers and all community members when petitioning our state and federal legislators to give Bensalem the help we need.

Rebecca and her family are members of the St. Ephrem Church and Philadelphia Flyers season ticket holders, and she volunteers with the Valley Athletic Association. She enjoys volunteering weekly in the Valley Elementary library, and in her sons’ classrooms as often as possible. She is an active member of BADGE (Bensalem Association Dedicated to Gifted Education), the Valley Elementary PTO, and the Bensalem Democratic Organization.

Rebecca attended public school in her hometown of Brockport, NY. She went on to study philosophy, political science and history at the State University of NY at Binghamton. Rebecca earned her law degree at Villanova University in 2007. She practiced insurance defense and product liability litigation and then transitioned to work as a contract attorney, assisting many firms in Philadelphia with various stages of litigation. To give back to the community, she volunteered with Philadelphia VIP Pro Bono Legal Services and the Residential Mortgage Foreclosure Diversion Program. Rebecca is a member of the Pennsylvania, Bucks County and Philadelphia Bar Associations.
