A test for Joe?

Politico, 9-20-2019

" Biden calls for release of Trump's phone call with Ukraine "

" Joe Biden on Friday called on President Donald Trump to make public a July phone call at the center of a report that Trump pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to find dirt on the Democratic presidential candidate's family.

"If these reports are true, then there is truly no bottom to President Trump’s willingness to abuse his power and abase our country," Biden said in a statement. "Such clear-cut corruption damages and diminishes our institutions of government by making them tools of a personal political vendetta." "

How hard should Joe push this? I say he should grab trump by the balls and not let go. I see the possible Ukrainian situation as a serious test of Joe's strength and leadership skills. Trump's corruption is not only an attack on the Biden family but a serious affront to the institutions of our great nation. What do you say?

The world is watching.

Biden needs to be relentless until this is cleared up and someone is punished.

It can't just be added to the list of things Traitor45 has done to deserve impeachment and prosecution.

Joe has the US Constitution and the rule of law, his Public Service experience to fall back on.

Hollow as that might sound, the principles and values that keep this country together, IS WORTH IT!!!!

Agree that it is a great opportunity for Joe to demonstatrate his leadership and statesmanship. Lord knows someone has to. The House appears to be fumbling the inquiry and/or more focussed on not losing their majority than in saving our Democracy. Sigh . . . our leadership doesn’t ever seem to learn that when we “take things off the table”, “go slow”, “take the high road” or let things go “for the good of the country” - all that does is 3 things: 1) it depresses our base; and 2) it makes us look weak to “independents” and 3) it sends a CLEAR MESSAGE to the Cons that there is no accountability and they can get away with it. Maybe Joe can teach us how to fight for what matters? I’ll be watching . . .

He ran on anti-corruption. This would be a perfect opportunity for him to demonstrate that he means what he says. Trump would be neutered for the balance of his presidency.

But Zelensky has to do it on his own. We can't directly or indirectly appeal to him to release the call.
