That's why I think a resignation is on the table. First, we have to see how strongly the impeachment inquiry and proceedings stand out for him in his little, narcissistic mind.

If he resigns, it would be much easier to get over that with time. Quitter or maybe loser? Awww! Sadz. I am sure he could bloviate about it long enough to recover, though he would be busy tending to many, long-drawn lawsuits after the fact.

Impeachment would be a hot branding iron of greater shame and I think it would affect the brand in a far worse way, and that might be an inspiration. The family does have money riding on this, as well. This is probably the first time in his entire life he has had to face real repercussions for his actions, so, unlike everything else he imagines knowing all about, this is definitely out of his league.

If I was an advisor and he was listening to me, I would be discussing that option with him seriously, especially as the impeachment process continues.
