Next comes the obfuscation.
Lest you believe Trump and his cronies have seen the light and are finally bowing to the values of truth and democracy, that's not what is happening or is going to happen. No more than that was what was happening when Bill Barr released his bullshit memo. The White House will tamper with either or both of the whistleblower complaint and the "transcript," and/or release an additional official-sounding "memo" that attacks or blurs the truth just enough that the media lets Trump off. Their surrogates will take over the airwaves in coordination after one of these moves using explosive language like "Trump exonerated AGAIN!" and the truth-valuing people in our democracy will wonder what the fuck hit us.
These assholes aren't done, not by a long shot. There is still much more obfuscation to come.
