As we are happy with yesterday's developments?

Let's remember that Trump will continue to double down and his base will buy everything that he spews out? It will be like every other issue that Trump has been involved in? Yes, this might be the arrow to the heart, but it also could be what Trump wants, a fight with anyone who gets in his way or Trump will do something that will put us in harms way?

That simile applies to the entire GOP at this stage in the game.

Generally speaking, they know the demographics. They can see where Millennials are at. They are inflexible and tight-fisted about preserving the power of the MIC and our Oligarchy. Any values they profess can and will be compromised as necessary and as we have seen again and again.

I think that fuels their crazed descent into radical means and forms of survival and that is a signal to us to be vigilant about it. The rat goes for the throat as the simile goes.

It’s as if a huge weight has been lifted. So relieved to see democrats standing strong.

our problem is having the fortitude now to wage the fight at him on HIS level. I do not have the confidence our leadership can do this as they shirked on so many opportunities to got after trump in the past as well as goign at trump admin officials. Barr should have been impeached after the first lie to congress as AG....every official who ignored a subpoenas should have been hauled in by Sargent of Arms and charged with contempt and be subject to daily fines and/or confinement under the House rules

IF we don't go at this full out, Nov next year will not be pretty. I know trump will never be convicted in the Senate and we are to foolish to even think that is even a possibility but we sure as hell can damage trump and the GOP if we take the gloves off and go at them on TV in all sorts of inquiry hearings and such.

I would start with pre-election crimes
- inaugural spending issues
- emolument issues
- and everything else

put trumps kids in the hearings, Melania in hearings, hold nothing back. The savaging of taxpayers dollars has been done in clear view. Let them explain or take the 5th

I wish it had never been necessary.

But, there is so much he has done and will continue to do that serious impeachment investigations a necessary thing.

The rest of the process will also very likely be necessary.

We know * loves to fight and may want this but it doesn't matter. This time he won't be able to weasel out of it. It occurred to me he could do something awful to deflect but there's no point in worrying about that.

We are here, now, and impeachment must be done. It's time to serve up some stone cold karma.

It doesn't matter what Putin's puppet wants. His base is only 40% and they aren't going to change.
I guess we could do nothing. Graveyards are full of people who do nothing, totally out of harms way

Everything you described is happening without impeachment proceedings too.

I'm pessimistic when it comes to success, but the options are either do nothing and permanantly flush rule of law down the toilet, or try to do something. That has been my stance for quite awhile now.
