What better occasion to offer a link to the DNC ActBlue donation page?

A Republican National Committee official told The Hill that the RNC, President Trump's reelection campaign and a joint fundraising committee began efforts at 2 p.m. and had netted $1 million at 8 p.m., a few hours after Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced a formal impeachment inquiry.
The news outlet noted that Trump will benefit from most of the donations, adding that some efforts targeted Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.), who represents a district won by Trump in 2016 and who supports the impeachment inquiry.
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel tweeted that the group's efforts aimed at Slotkin raised over $350,000.
"We will absolutely hold House Democrats accountable for this.@realDonaldTrump won Elissa Slotkin's district in Michigan, yet she's backing this baseless impeachment inquiry," she wrote.

At this point in time, anything that comes out of republican mouths is subject to non-truth.

(12,712 posts)Baseless? Really? Oh, come on now.
That's a trumpian-style lie. I can't give McDaniel any credence at all.
It would really take the stoopid of the base to take that for face value.
Baseless!

(7,113 posts)Laugh all you want, but campaigns need money, and the RNC is outraising the DNC more that 2 to 1:
https://ijr.com/rnc-blows-dnc-fundraising-out-of-water/
Newly-disclosed fundraising numbers illustrated a huge gap between the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the Republican National Committee (RNC), with the latter raising more than double the amount of money in June, Politico reported Saturday.
In the same month as the first round of their presidential primary debates, the DNC brought in $8.5 million in fundraising but spent $7.5 million on expenses. The organization ended the month with $9.5 million in cash on hand.
...
Republicans fundraising blew the DNCs out of the water, however, raising over double the amount of money in the same month, with the RNC reporting a haul of $20.7 million in June and ending the month with $43.5 million cash on hand.
The RNC spent millions on fundraising efforts in the month of June, using $1.4 million to pay for fundraising services from different firms, including a firm affiliated with President Donald Trumps campaign manager Brad Parscale, Parscale Strategy.
Maybe if y'all can take a little time away from LOL, maybe consider chipping in a few bucks to the DNC?

(7,848 posts)I usually just donate to candidates -- this is my first time donating to the DNC. After all the shit they have taken from everyone, I probably should try to donate to them more often...

(7,113 posts)Overall, I for one am pretty pleased with the DNC and its current leadership.
It's great that they returned to Gov. Dean's 50-state strategy.
It seems they're making an honest effort to be fair to both the centrists and the progressives.
And while the 2018 Blue Wave was the work of millions of people, I give the DNC its due, since we'd sure be dumping the blame on them if it went the other way.
So, I agree. Making a donation whenever possible is the way to go and help keep GOPers out of office.
Thanks again for your generosity.
