In light of this news, please keep in mind that in dangling a White House meeting, Trump was making an offer to use *official* resources, including the power and prestige of the presidency, to leverage a foreign power into investigating his domestic political opponent.

nothing discovered will result in Trump being removed from office. The GOP will present another narrative, 45% if country will buy it or chalk it up as politics and the GOP will fundraise on it. Trump will have to be beat at polls.
