Trying to synthesize what has happened over the last 24 hours. It seems like:
The Whistleblower throws Trump under the bus
McConnell throws Trump under the bus
Trump throws Pence under the bus
Trump accidentally throws William Barr under the bus
The State Department throws Giuliani under the bus
Giuliani throws Pence under the bus
EDIT: William Barr throws Giuliani under the bus
I think someone threw Pompeo under the bus but I don't remember who.
Tomorrow, the acting DNI is sure to throw somebody.
Surely I'm missing some bus-throwing.

(15,067 posts)Be sure to write everything down in pencil with a good eraser handy. Nothing is in ink (sharpie?) any more.

(29,098 posts)They may be willing to vote for Trumps removal so they can protect a Pence Presidency. Pelosi in the White House will make that impeachment vote harder for them. And yes they are that craven. They will want a guarantee the investigations stop with Trump.

(15,637 posts)DNI tomorrow. Ive been far too disappointed too many times already. The tRump/GOP fog machine is in high gear trying to create an air of legitimate doubt which must therefore mean innocence.

(22,665 posts)We know tRump has loyalist trolls all over Washington, what makes you think the guy standing next to him is also as criminally guilty as 45?
