(33,297 posts)Yikes. Prairie Wolves!
I saw one cross the street and stare me down as I stopped my car and gawked at it last week. 9 am, middle of Seattle, 16th Ave. NE and NE 80th. St.

(29,199 posts)usually they hunt in small packs
When I was 12 and home alone after school, 3 were stalking one of our horses (I heard the commotion). I ended up killing one with my .22 before they were able to take my horse down.

(18,868 posts)One goes out and dances around and gets the dog to chase it. Then it runs back toward the pack and they all gang up on the dog.
They will also grab small dogs and cats. If you live in coyote country you need to really watch your pets.
