Majority oppose impeachment

By Alexa Lardieri, Staff Writer
Sept. 25, 2019, at 11:12 a.m.

... A new poll released Wednesday found that while more than half of voters do not approve of the job Trump is doing in the White House, only 37% say that he should be impeached and removed from office. Fifty-seven percent do not support impeachment ...

The poll was conducted from Sept. 19 to 23, amidst a controversy surrounding a phone call Trump had with the Ukranian president, but before the House announced an impeachment inquiry. A whistleblower within the White House filed a formal complaint about Trump's phone call with Ukrainan President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, alleging that Trump pressured Ukraine to dig up dirt on Democratic front-runner Joe Biden.

Despite recent controversies surrounding Trump, he remains popular among Republican voters, with about 80% stating they support the president. Additionally, about two-thirds of Republican voters say they would be very satisfied with Trump as the Republican nominee for the 2020 presidential election ...

Same will happen here. Especially with Mr. Trumps so called firing of Speaker of the House of Representatives. Yes, in a way his firing Pelosi, shows how unstable Trump is. Yes, it will take time, but a few Republican members of Congress will come around. It will be a "a few" perhaps more are on the way. His mouth today proved he has lost it.

Did they ask those same people if Trump should be allowed to continue to abuse his Presidential Powers?

Did they ask those same people if they would prefer Trump's resignation rather than having to go through an impeachment?

Did they ask those same people if they were perhaps just fearful of the process, but agreed Trump was currently unfit for the Presidential Office?

... cuz he's broken the law, ignored the Constitution, and endangered the country. Sure, that is all part of how he sucks at his job, but the point is that he's not being impeached just cuz people don't like him or don't like his politics.
