I predict that he’ll either resign by the end of the year or serve out the rest of his term.

If he resigns it’s because the Republican Senate let him know he’s gonna be convicted. If he lasts throughout the year, it’s because Republicans have decided to protect him.

The senate Rs are not going to do anything. I will gladly be w0rong and will eat crow and rats if I am. Sure Andrea Mitchell said something about 30 senate Republicans, but at the most they will be like Susan Collins. They will express concern, but will not want to remove him.

If he is reelected in 2020 and we take the Senate back in 2020 and keep the House, he will probably be gone sometime in his second term.
