1. This would be bad for Pelosi and the party

There is no long term upside to this result.

It doesn't make Pelosi a good candidate for Pres. Nobody wants to become president this way. It doesn't enhance her position, she will be a president with an asterisk after her name.

It doesn't look good for the party. It looks like a power grab. If they are worried about a backlash, the backlash from this would be worse.

Yes, Trump has to go. Sure, impeaching Pence and everybody else would be great but I'd say give Pence 48 hrs to name a VP before impeaching him.

If Pence is smart he'll pull a Spiro Agnew.

2. The real takeaway here is, America won't elect a woman. ..yet.

I continue to believe that. And should we nominate one, we will lose again.
My generation ( boomers) willll be the reason why.
