both the presidency and the vice presidency open simultaneously (absent both dropping dead simultaneously). The Republicans will make sure that the first vacancy is filled before a second is created.

Pence for sure.

But let's just say trump is out. Surely surely surely the repukes don't think pence with his pants dirty and his being a love slave to trump would beat out any of our people ?

That would change dynamics of Democratic Primary too.

But it is nice to dream, and Clinton deserves better than she got.

Like scaramucci keeps saying for some unknown reason. Not much time...and would they denounce trump? They'll have a shitload of deplorables to deal with. I think if trump is gone, their party is in a world of hurt for a long time. Think Romney has figured this out by hinting that trump is bad. Like testing the waters. Up-mountain climb.

In retrospect more should have stood up against him occasionally.

Trump and Pence have to go simultaneously. So all Trump being out means is that Pence becomes president - and selecs a new vice president. Leaving Pelosi still the second in line fr the presidency.

I would hate to go into 2020 after doing something like that. Clinton wouldn’t deserve it either.

Let’s give her the joy of watching MF45 getting removed from office kicking and screaming.

Anything fair with Clinton went out the door when the election was stolen. Fair would have been her taking office when Obama left. Placing her in this shit show after she has been out of it for a couple of years would be unfair.

I do get and appreciate the kind sentiment on display in the op. While I disagree with the context I don’t disagree with it’s kind nature.

Let’s meet in the middle. Let’s get Clinton a Lazy Boy on wheels, a popcorn machine, and a front row seat to every hearing she wants to attend. Then hope both Pence and Trump are impeached and somehow we make it through it with a functioning government.

The vice president has to be nominated by the president and confirmed by both houses of Congress. The senate would never confirm Hillary, so the position would remain vacant ...

But...

There's no requirement that the Speaker of the House be a Member of Congress. So

Pelosi becomes president, The house elects Hillary speaker. Nancy resigns the presidency and Hillary takes over. The House re-elects Nancy Speaker
