1. I'm reading that the committees working on impeachment and such will keep working.

Even if it's "from home."

I think it's shitty optics to have a recess right after declaring an impeachment inquiry but if they keep working I guess it's alright.

But what the media does next is anyone's guess. Trump is definitely going to try his usual distraction bullshit. Look for more "outrages."

home to explain the situation to their constituents and get feedback. My daughter's going to a Speaker Pelosi breakfast here in SF next week. But the other (and probably main) reason for the recess is the High Holy Days.

I got the impression Schiff's committee would be holding meetings with people testifying, though maybe that won't be public. Hope they don't lose any of the positive momentum.
