(9,594 posts)Just like his boss, Rudy can't keep his mouth shut. You know the truth will come out. It may take a few minutes, but all you have to do is poke the bear a few times, and off he goes.

(1,799 posts)Are others as curious about this as I am?
Is Trump paying him, airfare and hotels?
Is the RNC?
Or are we the taxpayers paying him??? Has he been hired by the government?
Does Guiliani have security clearance?
Anybody know?
I have not heard anything about this.

(32,328 posts)The thing we never knew is that his trips were all part of the shakedown. Pootie told Chump that no US aid should go to Ukraine, period.
Rudy and Chump cooked up the Biden angle, I guess. But even if they had gotten something from Zelensky, Chump still had no plans to release the funds to them.

I never trusted that bastard Giuliani even back in his Americas Mayor days. He and his convicted felon buddy, Bernard Kerik.
Wasnt it Joe Biden who said of Giuliani, "There's only three things he mentions in a sentence: a noun, a verb and 9/11."

(3,832 posts)I just watched the interview with Richard Engel and Yuriy Lutsenko, the ex-Ukraine prosecutor, who said he met with Rudi twice but spoke to him on the phone about 10 times.
(edited to add names)
but that still is an awful lot of contact
solara
(3,832 posts)Initially I was disappointed when he said they only met twice, but I think the 10 phone calls are just as important if not more important and he seemed a tad nervous about them.. but, again to be fair, he seemed nervous in general. It could have been because he did not speak English well.. who knows. but I bet there are copies of those ten phone conversations with Giuliani.

(3,832 posts)It was clear he understood English much better than he spoke it. But he didn't go into any detail other than to say that the actual investigation happened a few years before Hunter was hired.

(4,225 posts)"Mrs. Giuliani says she had no choice but to take him to court, to prove what he is actually worth financially and to get what she believes she is fairly entitled to."
This is from an 9/13/19 article in the NYT.
It is beyond me why either party in this case would have an interest in having all of this done publicly, Justice Michael Katz said at an appearance last year in State Supreme Court in Manhattan. Settling privately, he advised, would treat their relationship and marriage with more respect than divulging all our dirty laundry out for public consumption.
The article goes on to say:
A primary issue is Mr. Giulianis current income. His wife believes that Mr. Giuliani left his law firm, Greenberg Traurig, in 2018, a month after the divorce was filed, and chose to work for President Trump pro bono in order to reduce any future alimony.
Mr. Giuliani earned $7.9 million in 2016 and $9.5 million in 2017, funding the couples roughly $230,000 a month lifestyle, according to Mrs. Giulianis lawyers. In 2018, the year he began working for the president, Mr. Giulianis earnings dipped to $6.8 million, and he has suggested that this years income will be well below that.
I didn't want to cite too much of the article. Here is the link:

(9,435 posts)Plus, you don't send your consigliere to do that. If you have legitimate concerns, you send professionals from the state and/or justice department.
What do think the odds are that he was twisting Lutsenko's arm to manufacture dirt on the Bidens.
maxsolomon
(32,975 posts)for his own reasons. He's a malefactor here - he's ground zero of the conspiracy.
And manufacturing dirt on Masha Yovanovitch, the "disloyal" Ambassador that Trump just recalled. Her name is going to get big soon.
Is Rudy the consigliere? Trump seems to think that's Barr now.

(5,491 posts)If Rudy paid his own way, would that be considered a campaign contribution? If he want as Trump's attorney and was reimbursed (that would be a miracle since Trump never reimburses), it was support the claim that Trump was trying to get dirt on a political opponent. If Rudy was reimbursed by government money, it's the most troubling of all, because then they are using tax money to get dirt on a political opponent.
I don't think Rudy could afford several trips over. So someone is paying.
