Julia Davis - On May 13th Russian state TV reported that no US officials would be attending the inauguration in Ukraine, on direct orders from Trump. According to the #WhistleblowerComplaint, on May 14th Trump ordered Pence not to attend. How did the Russians know that?

(22,665 posts)So he wouldn't have been able to interpret their TV show the day before he canceled Pence's travel plans to Ukraine. So how did Russian TV know tRump would cancel something that only tRump would know about, the day before he did it? Pence was suppose to go, he's tRump's foreign policy guy. Instead they sent Rick Perry, the Secretary of Energy. Not only that, but it was also made clear to them that the President not want to meet with Mr. Zelenskyy until he saw how Zelenskyy chose to act in office.

(586 posts)where Pence was going on a trip, I don't remember for sure if it was the Ukraine trip but it could have been. Anyway in the middle of the trip, Pence was suddenly told to come back to DC. Rachel Maddow asked why he had to return. There were no meetings or diplomatic issues at the time. There was no explanation for why he had to return. I guess now we know!
