about the girl being held down while her classmates cut her hair, NBC made no mention of the fact that Mother Pence works at that very school. Perhaps they felt there was no direct relevance to the girl's story, but it does show the atmosphere prevailing there.

Botham Jean was the son of a St Lucia Government Cabinet member who worked with an international company as an accountant. It's not merely the murder of a black man who was eating ice-cream in his own apartment in a middle class neighborhood - it is a shocking international story. If he wasn't safe, no black person is safe.
