If it gets bad enough....do you think Repuke leaders will pressure Trump to resign?

I mean, if transcripts emerge of damning phone calls to Putin and MBS, or similar type things come out...

Could it possibly get to a point where someone will tell him, "Look, we will not support you in a re-election campaign. We are openly going to turn against you unless you resign."

Just wondering if it could get to a point where they will put the party over Trump.

We all know they don't care about the country, but maybe they would do something if they thought it would save the party?

He will allowed to keep all the campaign money from stupid MAGA donors and given an NDA to sign to resign from office and retire from making public statements.

He will be allowed his freedom because of a bipartisan agreement not to further divide the country as "we" need time to heal...or some such bullshit.

Lock him up.

Neither him, nor his business.

I don't think he will resign, although I hope I'm wrong.

as there is precedent for such, but how bad is BAD for the spineless and misguided repugs these days? Hard to know.

information in many different aspects is already coming out about Trump's treachery. This is the beginning of the end, and the rats will jump before going down with the ship.

The only way it could happen is if Pence secretly agrees to pardon him after he wins election. But Trump has to be thoroughly convinced that his political career is over. That will be hard to do since he is so delusional, and it would destroy his monumental ego.

Repuke leaders aren't going to want to risk their senate majority if at all possible. At the very least they want to minimize the potential damage.

tRump doesn't react well to this kind of pressure, IMO. He's going to look at his rabid base every time.

The only way I see him resigning is him losing a portion of his base and the repuke leaders offer him enough of an incentive to leave and tRump will not go quietly into the night either.

In the end, I don't think he'll resign.

He doesn't listen to anyone and he will get even. If he's convicted, then he's out of office and won't have much retaliatory leverage.

But the odds are very, very small they will vote to convict.

They have welded themselves to Trumppence's ship, and they will do anything to prevent it from sinking.

There could be a surprise surge for the primary effort of someone like Mark Sanford, however. If huge anonymous money suddenly starts pouring into the PAC/campaign of one or more of Trump's so-far-insignificant primary challengers, that is a far better way of removing him than voting in the Senate to forcibly remove him from office, and thus opening themselves to electoral challenges of treason to their party. If Trump loses in the primaries, however, they can point to themselves and say, "who? me? We have to respect the will of the voters, but I was loyal to our President!" When the president is a disgusting Republican sleaze bag, they are especially likely to say "our" president (anyone ever notice that?).
