I remember watching Nixon saying good bye to his staff

I was happy and glad it was happening. He made some comments about “they” trying to get you.

I wandered then how many in that group silently said good riddance.

I want to see trump do the same thing.

No particular attachment to trump beyond how they can profit. Second, can you imagine what an embarrassment it would be? Wallowing in self pity, blaming everyone, and he wouldn’t have enough sense to finish up and cut it short. He’d just keep babbling till they cut the cameras off.
