Why does Schiff think subpoenaing the administration officials will work now? I dont see Congress throwing anybody in jail or fining them for not honoring the subpoenas...
If you dont have a fist in your glove its useless to subpoena them.. right?

It is much tougher for Trump to come up with a legal argument that will hold water.

(21,935 posts)This isnt about the whistleblower or even about Biden and its not about just one phone call. Its about Trump. If there is nothing to the whistleblowers allegations, why not let Congress see them? Why not follow the law? Violating it to prevent Congress from engaging in oversight is serious misconduct, even for this lawless president. It constitutes obstruction of Congress, one of the charges that formed the basis for the Nixon articles of impeachment. Trumps denials are hollow. If Congress doesnt receive the complaint in connection with the DNIs testimony before the House Intelligence Committee on Thursday, its duty to impeach for the sake of our country is clear.
