Not normal is an understatement. It's off the hook, The wheels have come off the bus. The AG investigating US intel services, via foreign intel services? ,.. what?
Greg Miller ✔ @gregpmiller
The attorney general is making undisclosed trips overseas asking foreign intel services to help investigate U.S. intel services. That is not normal. @DevlinBarrett @shaneharris @mattzap

It sure as hell seems like it's desperate and isn't there another phrase besides "not normal"?

(10,269 posts)Because that's what you're doing if you're engaging foreign operatives in an effort to undermine YOUR OWN INTELLIGENCE SERVICES.

(25,429 posts)And we/they engage in hostilities.
Traitorous, however, seems perfectly applicable. His "civil war" nonsense could also be considered sedition. Both of those are fair game.
Treason requires a declared enemy. Enemy is defined in the "Spoils of War" section of the War and National Defense section of the code.
"According to 50 USCS § 2204 [Title 50. War and National Defense; Chapter 39. Spoils of War], enemy of the United States means any country, government, group, or person that has been engaged in hostilities, whether or not lawfully authorized, with the United States;"

Since he is attacking and undermining the system of Government he is building a case for sedition.

(10,122 posts)I think they've passed the point of "enough is enough" with the US Intelligence community.
If any group can dig up the counter dirt on Trump and Barr, it is them.
They've been playing with fire for a long time. They are going to get burned.
This is what I'm hoping happens. It's now or never...

(7,619 posts)Trump and his enablers have been poking a couple of tigers in the eye repeatedly and it's incredible they thought they'd get away with it.
Of course, they probably had no good alternative really. I mean, it's not like they could act patriotic with the best interests of the country in mind. Oh no.

(16,616 posts)This is an unbelievable story. You've got the US AG going to foreign intelligence agencies and saying, "Disprove what our guys in our intel agencies proved."
Will our people in the FBI and CIA stand for this?

I do believe , the latest revelations concerning Barr going to all these countries to investigate the Mueller report information "investigate the investigators" has kicked a hornets nest..I see this as also an attempt to remove Russia from being the perps of hacking..the people in those US agencies have had enough...DRIP-DRIP-DRIP...
Thus, Volker resigning and will testify...

Barr needs to be impeached, have the official investigation begin ASAP (along with one on Pence), and then we can talk about some real progress being made.

She already has Secret Service Detail and a Government supplied Airplane.
In the very early days of this administration, it was a true pipe dream to think it could actually happen. But now, not so much!!

(22,077 posts)our intelligence services and the like, purely on out-of-the-air accusations and / or a distorted sense of reality. His incompetence is growing by leaps and bounds and I think soon something has got to break. Perhaps Nancy P. and/or others in the Senate are conferring w/ each other on a daily basis to discuss his mental state and ability to govern. I would.
