he sneaks in and out of California - heavily protected from the public. the kkk rallies are in red states with much vetting
to keep dissenters out.
when he hijacked the fourth of july celebration, MAGAs were given the tickets.
is this trump's first time among massive numbers of blue state folks?

(9,594 posts)To hear the whole stadium cheering like crazy for our service members, and then to immediately go to a stadium full of booing for Trump, priceless!

(9,594 posts)I've watched the video over and over, sitting here in my chair yelling 'Yay America!' This was a moment of pure beauty.

(10,721 posts)I'm sure there were a lot of people at the World Series game who are Trump supporters. It'd be far worse for him if he were to actually try giving a speech to an audience of residents of DC or LA or SF or Seattle or Chicago or St. Louis or Atlanta or New York or Baltimore, and so on.

(10,721 posts)If residents of a major city packed a stadium and waited for a surprise speaker, and that speaker turned out to be Trump, he wouldn't be able to speak over all the boos (and then some). Secret Service would immediately remove him.
But of course that would never happen, and he has to know why. It's possible that he suppresses the knowledge that a majority of people despise him, but I can't believe that he truly believes his rally crowds are representative of the nation as a whole. Especially since this isn't the first time he's been around an unfriendly crowd (in the US and outside the US).
