Tim Wise's wise advice: Ignore the Trump voters who haven't already flipped

Hear hear. If they haven't abandoned him by now, they're going to stick with him to the bitter end. Stop wasting time on them.
They're a lost cause. Leave them where they are and focus elsewhere.

It's a primary reason why his approval ratings are historically flat.

Those who have stuck with him this far aren't going anywhere.

All those who support him at this point are willing marks to be fleeced by him. That may leave the rest of us off the hook.

The media still goes to any length necessary to coax a trumpist out of their basement long enough to get their take on everything that's going on. If, as often happens, they're not wearing pants, they either save the audio for a radio story or keep the camera's view only on their face.

Didja notice that when Obama was president, they never went around the country interviewing Obama supporters about why we loved and supported him, but instead chased after every whack job Tea Partyer they could find to hear all about why they hated him and how put-upon they were because everyone ignored tbem?

And now these are the same people they run around after to hear about why they LOVE the president and, again, how ignored and forgotten they are because no one ever pays attention to them or cares what they think.

I do think there are some places where Trump is leaching away support. Military, current and former. Would bet that a lot were pretty solid Trumpers .. until he publicly stabbed the Kurds in the back. Probably a lot less so now? The Ukraine shakedown .. also a real problem for even the "America First" crowd. Withholding critical military aid to an ally just doesn't look much like America first.

Union people would be another place where former Trumpers are steadily moving back? The promise of returning jobs to the U.S. was always pure theater. And the one thing that might have actually kick started some job growth .. infrastructure .. got hijacked into a tax cut for the rich. Health care .. broken promises and a system more in disarray than ever .. and a party in power that has no plans whatsoever. Suburban women have already mostly moved on.

And finally, on the flip side .. I'm not as optimistic about the farm crowd as we're apparently supposed to be (I think their alienation is largely a matter of headlines and media fluff). But the other groups mentioned .. I think there's reason to be hopeful.

radio and a lot of the apathetic and too-busy secondary audience the hardcore base influences will be ready to tell them fuck off

or at least not vote for them. more importantly, not be part of the base that helps putin tool limbo intimidate republican senators

There’s those that worship only money and those that worship a vengeful Condemning type of God that only values a certain element of society.

If they were wrongly accused of treason, they would nevertheless vote for the firing squad.
