In Dante's vision of Hell, the lowest circle is reserved for traitors.

That bottom layer covers quite a few categories.
I have heard flattery is also part of the lower level.
Keep clicking on it to make it bigger to view.

(9,426 posts)How did he ever become leader of a mega-church, I wonder? tRump chose that blonde female pastor to be his spiritual advisor. Why wasn't Jefress chosen? Well, on second thought, maybe because tRump can't "grab him by the p***y"? The blonde harridan tRump chose looks like a boozy version of Ivanka.

(38,474 posts)Idolatry:
Idolatry is the worship of an idol or cult image, being a physical image, such as a statue, or a person in place of God. In Abrahamic religions, namely Christianity, Islam and Judaism, idolatry connotes the worship of something or someone other than God as if it were God.

(6,847 posts)of pride. As is, for example, bullying. Both include putting something, usually yourself but not always, above God.
There are also seven cardinal virtues, one of which is courage - all kinds of courage - and it's been remarked that if you don't have that one down you aren't going to have much luck with the other six.
Not, by any means, that one has to know all that stuff to be a Christian. But Jeffress doesn't know any of t, doesn't get it, doesn't practice it, doesn't respect it, and in fact is in no way a Christian. Yes, he calls himself one. I could call myself a goddess but that wouldn't make it true.

(5,383 posts)Impeach Trump and Christian values - the current ones - both at the same time!
Then we can get back to basics, a President who actually is functional, and Christian Values that are actually in the Bible!
Some people may need a refresher course in what these Biblical Christian values are, though.
