Joe Walsh (not the cool one): I'm more afraid of a dictator than I am of a guaranteed jobs program..

Joe Walsh ✔ @WalshFreedom

I’m a conservative, but I have no doubt that Donald Trump’s actual authoritarianism is a much bigger threat to this country than any of the Democrat’s hoped-for socialism.

Put another way: I’m way more afraid of a dictator than I am of a guaranteed jobs program or free college.

I think Walsh is an opportunist. I am glad he said this but he has no moral compass. nt Quixote1818 Nov 2019 #13
Agreed. He wants Trump's position. A Walsh Presidency would not be much different than a Trump one. Midnight Writer Nov 2019 #15

You helped create this monster. Now that you've lost control of him, you want to disavow him? Meh.

i welcome everybody that is against Trump. Stopping Trump and Barr, Pompeo, Pence, etc is the primary fight. We can go back to disagreeing about healthcare plans and minimum wage increases when Trump is gone.

I'm just not impressed with his rare instance of sanity. It's like Steve Urkel saying, "Did I do that?" Only, it's not funny here.

I will point out, though, that Walsh is the only one who's admitted his part in creating this mess.

Republicans need to be informed that they have a choice other than Donald Trump.

They could be much more effective than the constant barrage against Democrats, imo.

He thinks programs like free college or medicare for all will fail miserably and people will rise up and reject socialism and embrace conservative economic principles.

He's wrong, but I think that's his thinking.

Trump as dictator would destroy America
