Trump lied about judges he appointed

Impeachment inquiry

CNN - With White House officials refusing to take questions under oath from House investigators, Democrats released transcripts of prior key testimony, and some details are pretty wild. Marie Yovanovitch, the former US ambassador to Ukraine, said she pushed the State Department to defend her amid attacks from Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani and his associates, but her requests went unanswered over concerns about how the President might respond, perhaps by tweet. Ex-State Department official Michael McKinley testified that he raised the idea of sending a statement of support for Yovanovitch three separate times with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and never got a substantive response -- claims that directly contradict his former boss. McKinley also said he resigned partly because of the use of the State Department to dig up dirt on Trump's political opponents. Meantime, the Senate is prepping for a likely impeachment trial.

Trump makes a series of false claims at tonight's rally

President Trump made a series of false claims at his rally in Lexington, Kentucky, tonight.

Trump claimed, as he has several times, that President Barack Obama left him with 142 federal judges to appoint.

Facts First: According to Russell Wheeler, a visiting fellow at the Brookings Institution who tracks judicial appointments, there were 103 vacancies on district and appeals courts on Jan. 1, 2017, just before Trump took office, plus a vacancy on the Supreme Court.
Trump also said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell passed "VA Choice and VA accountability for our amazing veterans."

Facts First: The Choice bill, a bipartisan initiative led by Sens. Bernie Sanders and the late John McCain, was signed into law by Barack Obama in 2014. In 2018, Trump signed the VA Mission Act, which expanded and changed the program.

On China, Trump said "they've never given us 10 cents before."

I have a question. With no intention of criticizing the source, why do you always post OPs from CNN?

I used to work at their network affiliate, in Panama City Beach, FL., where we furnished the antenna to catch the down-link. I also sold advertising for ESPN and Sun Cable 6.
