Buffalo Wild Wings asked a group to move because a customer didnt want black people sitting near him. The staff has been fired.
By Teo Armus
The Vahls went out on a Saturday night near Chicago in search of dinner.
But the family and their party, a mostly African American group of parents and young kids celebrating a birthday, say they faced discrimination head-on instead when staff at a Buffalo Wild Wings repeatedly ordered them to leave their table all because another customer did not want to sit next to black people.
Now, the incident has gone viral, the staff has been fired, and the restaurant chain is facing backlash after yet another troubling example of public discrimination captured online.
If you dont want to sit next to certain people in a public restaurant then you should probably eat dinner in the comfort of your own home, Mary Vahl wrote on Facebook, in a post that has been shared more than 4,500 times as of early Monday.

We've been bamboozled, let there be no doubt
When divided, we're conquered, too
There's a sickness worse than any pandemic flu
A tool used to suppress wages and pollute our common air
A tool used to keep us all from affordable health care
Convinced of who's deserving and who's not
Willing to die so long as "they" don't get what's sought
Told we're better and given just enough more
Sold a bill of goods to keep us poor
Blinded to injustice, corruption and lies
Numb to hypocrisy and all those caged cries

But we aren't in those shoes, so we talk of law and order
Police brutality is disproportionate we know
We were told he's dead but there stands Jim Crow

It infects systems and structures, we're needed in this fight

The media asks candidates if Trump is a racist
They ask if water is wet and pretend he's not also a rapist

(1,639 posts). . . sitting near someone wearing a shirt with a slogan that I find offensive or using racist talking points in their table conversation, can I ask management to have them moved?
(Probably not, because they're my family and I'm forced to be there with them.)
