..I wonder. Would he do an unselfish act and take a bullet for Boss Trump.
... Or protect himself at all costs. (like Trump will)
Idea came from this thread. :started by riversedge:

(15,062 posts)All of these arrogant assholes think they are above the law. Rudy thinks he IS the law. Well, he used to be - sort of - in New York.
None of them think they will be caught. None of them expect any consequences for their behavior.
It will be great fun to see these guys go DOWN!

(38,414 posts)...One of my fun things in watching politics for over 55 years...is when Richard Nixon said..."I am not a crook"
.....Yes, I got that newspaper down stairs...in a pile..The same will happen to Trump & Rudy..it is just a matter of time..Why? They are crooks too.

(27,813 posts)... is going to take a bullet for Trump at this point. There was a time when they would - but Trump has now demonstrated time and again that he has absolutely no loyalty to anyone (Putin excepted, of course).
Even Trump's inner circle of loyalists will fold the second they face the choice of saving his ass or their own.
It's clear that Trump will not be re-elected - so why languish in prison knowing a pardon will probably never be forthcoming?
If and when push comes to shove, even Ivanka will save herself first.

(10,122 posts)Rudy is 75. Any significant jail time is effectively a death sentence as even if he survives, he's likely coming out a very old man physically.
One of his two henchmen flipping to testify for the impeachment hearings might be unsettling.
Whether he can get a pardon this close in proximity to the impeachment issues, I'm not sure ...
Manafort is another interesting case. The anniversary of his sentencing comes up next January & March. If he is going to cut a deal to get his sentence reduced, he has one year from the date of sentencing to do it. So if a pardon doesn't arrive soon, maybe he starts chirping.
Both could wind up like Epstein but that is less likely if they take out Trump.
A long jail sentence when they're in their 70s probably looks like death anyway.
