Last night, I was watching MSNBC's expert about the early data from Kentucky, and he said that the turnout was about halfway between the turnout four years ago for governor, and turnout for the 2016 general election. This means that more people than usual were motivated to vote in this election, but that we've not seen the numbers we're going to see in 2020.

And I think we dodged a bullet in Virginia, given the Northam blackface scandal last year. I figured it would depress African-American support for Democratic candidates during this year's election, and that didn't seem to happen.
