Kentucky law allows a candidate to contest the outcome of an election, which throws it to the legislature to decide, regardless of the will of the voters. The last time they did this was in 1899.

but it's a little more complicated than that. Absence evidence of fraud or some other oddity, it won't happen and if it did, a left of center KY Supreme Court would not accept it
