Alabama SGA warns groups: Protest Trump during LSU game, risk losing reserved seating

The Student Government Association at the University of Alabama is warning groups that protesting President Trump during the Tide’s Saturday game vs. LSU could result in loss of reserved seating for the remainder of the season.

A letter from Jason Rothfarb, vice president of Student Affairs, said additional security will be in Bryant Denny’s student section during the Saturday afternoon football game. President Trump is expected to be in the audience.

the influence of this evil MF3r saves lives of babies, children, and poor people. Fifty years from now, when you are with people who are discussing their fav moments (I shot a hole in 1 at the Durham City Golf Course; I graduated top of the class at Dry Gulch High School; etc.), you can say: "I'm the person at the Alabama v. LSU football game in 2019, who held the sign in front of the TV cameras and that was deemed to be too offensive for President Trump to see or even have someone read to him. The campus cops immediately confiscated my ticket and frogmarched me out of the stadium. ON TV that night, Trump blasted me as a life-long DEM, a leftest, never a Trumper, and never will be." It will be worth it.

they are subject to the First Amendment.

Not a smart idea to threaten anyone for exercising free speech.

Not allowing speakers to speak because some do not want them to be heard. Such as Condi Rice.

... match vs Western Carolina (apologies to any Catamount fans here, but no big loss). Season ticket holder here. I plan to boo even though I’m not in the student section.

However, I suspect they will announce trump’s presence as the LSU team takes the field. Thus, plausible ambiguity as to who the booing is for.

Free speech has nothing to do with it; its a football game. You're welcome to tell everyone outside the gates that trump sucks!!

to threaten the fans, in case they're not sufficiently enthusiastic for Rumpfenfuhrer.
