As great as last night's victories were, his "we are a 50 state party" is overstated a bit redstateblues Nov 2019 #4

The Doug Jones AL election is not likely to be a trend in Alabama.

Some here will always have an axe to grind with him but you can’t argue with the results.

Virginia in 17. Doug Jones. 2018 which the DNC played a major role in recruiting candidates that can win in their districts and states, moderates if need be. Then last night.

There is no doubt a 50 state strategy produces a more moderate house, which I am fine with. Because I would prefer a more moderate caucus in the majority to a more liberal caucus in the powerless minority.

He is a quiet behind the scenes organizer. Just what his job calls for. Often the voting public does not even know how involved the national party is and that is good if we want to make inroads into more reddish-Purple areas.

Despite all the irrational hand wringing around here when he got the job he has proven himself able.

He was seen as loyal to one ‘side’.

It has become apparent the side he is loyal to is the Democratic side! He backs candidates who can win! Progressive, liberal or moderate. It all about electing Democrats.

Had you told me in 16 Virginia would be totally blue I would have never believed it. The DNC set the table for 19 in 17. If you remember that was our first post 16 victory and it was like water in the desert.

Well, the democrats in Virginia had a lot to do with it as well!!
