If Romney is the nominee, progressives should highlight his progay stand...

...former, alleged stand, that is. And they should highlight his pro-choice comments. In commercials... Using footage of him speaking. It would work wonders.

who would be confused by why the Democrats were running ads apparently taking issue with those positions and might decide that Romney wasn't so bad after all.

I think that's a crazy idea. It would make fence-sitters who tend to lean the slightest bit to the left to give him their vote.

Those are the right stands to have. It's not like the loony right is going to vote for Obama instead. Your strategy only potentially draws away independent, moderate, undecided voters.

So I'm not sure why Independents, Moderates or undecideds would want to vote for someone who been on every side of every issue. How is that a good thing?
