House Republicans plan to announce Congressman Jim Jordan as an addition to the House Intelligence Committee on Friday, replacing Congressman Rick Crawford. The pugilistic Jordan, a former wrestling coach known for his avoidance of suit jackets, has been a strong defender of President Trump as the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee and a prominent member of the House Judiciary Committee.

the purpose of the open hearings as far as the Democrats are concerned is to put into the open the evidence they have uncovered as it relates to the Ukraine issue.

3. Gym jordan, should be facing a number of depositions from increasing Ohio State

lawsuits, involving sexual molestation, that jordan almost certainly had to know about. [Whether he can continue to evade is another side to this]. More suits have been filed as more information comes out.

5. Part of me thinks the REASON he's being put on the committee is wrestle-molesting related

Just this week Jordan was sued for reasons related to this sick episode. I suspect that part of the motivation for putting him on the committee *NOW* (as opposed to any other time in the last 2-3 years) is to shore up his RWNJ-base support by acts of otherwise humiliatingly ridiculous extreme Trump fealty.

Nunes and the other GOP clowns already on the committee are perfectly capable of carrying water for Trump in the most ludicrous manner possible. They don't need Jordan for that. But HE needs a chance to solidify his Trump-humping base in the face of this corrosive threat. Make no mistake, only more and more is going to come out about Jordan's role in this sad affair, and he needs some of Trump's "GOP voters don't care about my role in sexual assaults" mojo to wear off on him.
