Eric Trump reports for jury duty

... says ‘it depends’ when asked if relative has been accused of a crime.

Eric Trump could soon be involved in a criminal case — as a juror.

The president’s son reported for jury duty in lower Manhattan Thursday morning with a detail of at least three Secret Service agents in gray suits. He was spotted in a jury assembly room at 111 Centre St., a building that houses New York state criminal and civil courts, before being sworn in for a weapon possession case in front of Justice Althea Drysdale.

Trump, 35, dressed in a navy blue suit with a white shirt open at the collar, quietly worked on his phone without being recognized by fellow potential jurors. A man near Trump snored loudly after nodding off to sleep.

There was an awkward moment during initial screening questions by the judge. Trump said he lives in Midtown and does “real estate” for a living. Then he was asked if any friends or relatives have been accused of a crime. He paused before answering: “Depends on who the accuser is. Not formally."

In the end, Trump was not picked to serve on that jury.

First of all, you were asked if any friends or relatives have been accused of a crime, so "depends on who the accuser is" is an asinine response.

Secondly, your father has been formally accused of numerous crimes.

Even if you're just in the waiting area before jury selection starts. You can leave it in a locker you can rent in the parking garage, you can leave it in your car, or you can leave it at home.

He's 35 and does not live with or work for his father!

More taxpayer $$ wasted.

cut their international business deals, vacation in Aspen and abroad, cavort with their homewrecking mistresses, use the Secret Service as personal chauffeurs for the grandkids, run up the taxpayers' tab at Trump-owned properties, etc. ad nauseum, is phenomenal.
