with children. 20 children have died at the border in 2019, most but shamefully not all on the Mexico side without actually being detained. Over 5400 children have been separated from their parents in the past 3 years and these atrocities continue. What they're doing is evil.

BUT, over 76,000 of that half million in 2019 alone were UNACCOMPANIED children.

Of course we should detain unaccompanied children, as our duty to them. And the good news is that unaccompanied minors are transferred to another government agency and most get placed without extreme delay with vetted sponsors, most family and friends, but also caring others.
