Causing 'profound' trauma, Trump administration detained record-breaking 70,000 children in 2019

The U.S. held a record 69,550 migrant children in detention facilities in 2019, a Tuesday report from The Associated Press and PBS Frontline found, leading to major psychological and physiscal harm and lasting trauma.

“No other country held as many immigrant children in detention over the past year as the United States—69,550,” said AP tech reporter Frank Bajak in a tweet promoting his colleagues’ work. “The physical and emotional scars are profound.”

This sickens me. I'm an atheist and come from a long line of atheists, so I was never taught bible stories or sayings, etc. but I know there's one that says something like "whatsoever you do to the least of us, you do to me." Then there's the old saying of how you can judge someone by how they treat children and animals.

What does this figure and news item tell you about our country?

We're going to impeach him for extorting a foreign country, as we should, but he gets away with this.

“We” as in what America is proudest of, has represented in the world. I know it’s not the Democrats’ fault, but the country is being run by people who are perfectly fine with letting it happen.

When she went to visit the caged children, our first nude lady had: I don't really care. Do U? On the back of her coat.

Because she and a whole lot of MAGATs really don't care about children that are NOT their own. Like Epstein, I think she and the MAGATs see them as sex toys....as long as they aren't their own children.

How do you like our capitalist government? Everything has a price even the misery of others.
