Kiev is the Russian word for the city. Kyiv, pronounced almost like Keev, is the Ukrainian form. Obviously Ukrainians prefer the way they pronounce it over the Russian pronunciation.

It's very much like Chicken Kiev, but instead of seasoned butter, the center is melted ham and Swiss.

Kiev (Key-ev) is the Russian pronunciation. The Ukrainian pronunciation of their spelling Kyiv is a little hard for English speakers to say. Taylor and Kent are using a close approximation of Keev.

Ukrainians don't like the Russian pronunciation for obvious reasons, but that's the one most Westerners are familiar with.
