(8,203 posts)Thomas W. Reed II who serves (cough, cough) as the U.S. Representative for New York's 23rd congressional district. They have nothing if they think impeaching this pos is bad for our country...is that really how they are going to mount a defense...PULLEEZZ

(40,205 posts)He said that the threshold for impeachment is committing a crime that is punishable by death. What an idiot.
Why are so many republicans in Congress so stupid?

(34,136 posts)Because that is what the GOP "got" Bill Clinton on. They simply couldn't find anything else to pin on him and resorted to that.
I just never thought that was worth killing a President over.

(9,478 posts)Spoiler alert - it doesn't. It does specifically mention Bribery and Treason, and there are cases to be made that Trump is guilty of both.

Nowhere does it mention perjury about a consensual affair, but the Republicans thought it was all fine and well to impeach for that. I guess that has "pizazz".
But I guess to be a Republican today, you must believe in one standard of justice for Republicans, and a different standard for Democrats.

(8,231 posts)but out of him. The Russiapublican got him off track...he did 'come back' and was able to make a couple of points - but not the original one he was trying to make (and yes he made a lot of good points tonight).
I try not to judge to harshly as it's not the easiest thing to do....live interviews with lying Russiapublicans and you do have to let them talk or else nobody will come on your show.

(29,067 posts)simply hear them, I think your impression of the exchange might have been different.
What you didn't see was Chris doubling over in laughter in response to this guy's "filibuster" -- He didn't take him seriously, and the visual manifestation of that undercut the Repuke's attempt to verbally dominate him.
