At what point does it benefit Moscow Mitch to get Trump out?

Kentucky is going to have a democratic governor. As things stand, McConnell is going to have a close election. It seems like the more he digs in to defend Trump the more he risks losing the swing voters.

The best scenario would be Trump resigning. I don't see that. So if the Senate convicted/removed Trump, McConnell could claim he has the moral high ground.

I'm sure it's not this simple. But still...

They have given us not only McConnell but also Rand Paul. Double whammy Kentucky shitshow. And while I'm thrilled Beshear won the gubernatorial over Bevin it was only by less than 0.5%.

his legacy and keep the Trump bases Trump, so Ivanka will have it at her disposal when it is her turn to be President. In other words when Trump puts himself last. So never. IMHO

It happened with Nixon. He wasn't going anywhere *until* the tapes came out. I think the same could certainly happen to Trump.
