Trump Chest Discomfort Claim After Walter Reed Visit

A contributor for the Hill who writes on veterans issues is claiming that President Donald Trump visited the hospital due to chest discomfort. That’s a different story from the White House statement on Trump’s November 16, 2019 visit to Walter Reed National Medical Center, which said Trump was undergoing “portions” of a routine annual exam.

“#BreakingNews Sources tell me from Walter Reed the President was being checked out for chest discomfort. No other information is available at this time,” Andrew Vernon wrote on Twitter on the evening of November 16, 2019. Vernon’s Twitter page profile says that he is “President & CEO. Opinion Contributor @thehill. @ColumbiaMSPH Alum & @UMaine Alum. @USArmy Veteran. #GoHabsGo.”

Vernon’s tweet sparked a flurry of attention about possible Trump chest pain on social media. However, the chest discomfort claim has not been confirmed by other sources, although others have written that it’s unusual how the president’s Walter Reed visit unfolded.

it is pretty reasonable that he would insist that spokespersons/press releases disguise his getting worked up for chest pain as part of his routine physical just 3 months early b/c he's super busy.

I also think Cheri Jacobus's hot-take (that Trump is laying the ground-work for a medical-resignation PLUS Pence compassion-pardon) would also be reasonable IF it did not include Trump trusting Pence farther than he can throw a half-eaten Big Mac. Which it does, so I don't. But it's an interesting interpretation of this event, at minimum.

Trump's 74, is overweight, eats a lot of junk food and drinks soda pop. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised that he's got clogged coronary arteries already and being impeached is just upping his stress level. He looks like a heart attack waiting to happen imho.
