People who read the news know. As for the nation in general, we're keeping the impeachment issues very, very simple.

A major weapon of bad against good is confusion, and the Republicans and their agents in the media fire it constantly. People want to be good, but not knowing what that is causes a lot a lot of people to turn off.

Btw, ProPublica is a very highly regarded journal that has apparently not been corrupted like much of the MSM and doesn't require a subscription. They're doing a series of podcasts on Trump's business, "Trump, Inc." Here's the latest, I think of 9:

5. That ProPublica link doesn"t even mention Javelin Missiles,

and I'm not wading through their podcasts.

The facts Nance mentions - the lethal shoulder-fired U.S. Javelin missiles sold to Ukraine by the Trump administration, the ones urgently requested during the phone call between Trump and the Ukrainian president, were (by some secret agreement?) not to be used against Russian military foces invading that country - has not been widely reported, if at all.

What has been reported by other sources (WSJ, Foreign Interest, and others) is Russia was "not pleased" that the U.S. was selling Javelin missiles to Ukraine, weapons meant to be used against invading Russian forces, and the missiles would give Ukraine an advantage over Russian tanks. I've read numerous articles about this sale of Javelins to Ukraine, but none mentions such a restriction against their use against Russian tanks.

What has been reported was that Congress was in favor of providing such weaponry to Ukraine, but the Obama administration was not, fearing these sophisticated portable, shoulder-fired missiles could fall into the wrong hands inside Ukraine, and be used against the wrong targets. However, the Trump administration decided to sell Javelins to Ukraine.

Nance's contention that Trump somehow restricted Ukraine's use of these Javelin missiles, or made the Ukrainians agree to such a restriction, prohibiting their use against Russian tanks, has not been mentioned during these hearings. Both Nunes (in his opening remarks) and Jordan (during his questioning and other histrionics) repeatedly stated "Obama only sent Ukraine blankets," but Trump "gave them Javelins" to fight the Russians. This was clearly meant to defend Trump from accusations he was Putin's puppet.

If Nance's reporting is true, and I have no doubt Malcolm has good inside information, why did Schiff not mention this during the hearings? It's an important fact, if true.

These extremely busy people, and their high-level staffers, spend long hours in meetings with each other and with very large teams of experts deciding what to do and what to say to the public in their relatively brief statements.

The huge amount of public information most people don't know is not their fault, although much that is not public yet is undoubtedly often their intention. Everything we hear our opponents do also.

Those who are really interested understand they'll be waiting for the books to come out to learn much they can only speculate about now. Someday, when there will be almost literally too many to get through.
